Terms of Service — Rize Camp Inc.
Last Updated: April 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services offered by Rize Camp Inc. ("Rize Camp," "we," "us," or "our"), including registration for, and participation in, Rize Camp's children's day camp programs. Please read these Terms carefully before completing any registration or making any payment.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering a child for a Rize Camp session — whether online at rizecamp.com, by email, or by any other means — the parent or legal guardian completing the registration ("you," "your," or "Parent/Guardian") agrees to be bound by these Terms in full.
You must be at least 18 years of age and have legal authority to enrol the child in question. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not complete registration or allow the child to attend camp.
Your continued participation in any Rize Camp session, or your failure to cancel following any update to these Terms, constitutes your acceptance of the then-current Terms.
2. Description of Services

Camp activities may include — but are not limited to — outdoor adventure, team-building exercises, arts and crafts, nature exploration, social skill development, and age-appropriate recreational activities. Programming is led by trained camp staff and is designed to provide a safe, engaging, and enriching summer experience.

Rize Camp reserves the right to modify programming content, activities, or scheduling within a session in response to weather, safety considerations, staffing, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to deliver comparable programming.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Age Requirement. Camp programs are open to children who are between the ages of 8 and 12 (inclusive) at the time of the session in which they are enrolled. Rize Camp reserves the right to decline or cancel registration for any child who does not meet the age eligibility requirement.
3.2 Enrolment by Parent or Guardian. Only a parent or legal guardian may register a child for a Rize Camp session. By submitting a registration, you represent and warrant that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself and the child.
3.3 Health Requirements. Prior to the first day of any session, you must provide a current and complete health statement for the enrolled child. This statement must disclose all known medical conditions, allergies (including food allergies), dietary restrictions, current medications, and any physical or behavioural considerations that may affect the child's participation or safety. Failure to provide accurate and complete health information is a material breach of these Terms and may result in the immediate removal of the child from camp without refund.
4. Registration and Payment
4.1 How to Register. Registration is completed online at rizecamp.com or through another approved registration channel. A spot in a session is only reserved upon receipt of the required deposit described below.
4.2 Deposit. A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 CAD per child per session is required at the time of registration to hold your spot. This deposit is applied toward the total session fee of $500.00 CAD.
The deposit is non-refundable. Rize Camp may, in its sole and absolute discretion, elect to refund a deposit in exceptional circumstances, but is under no obligation to do so. Parents and guardians may not request a refund of the deposit as a matter of right.
4.3 Balance Payment. The remaining balance of $450.00 CAD per child will be charged automatically when a session reaches its capacity of 20 participants. By providing payment information at registration, you authorize Rize Camp to charge the $450.00 balance to that same payment method when capacity is reached. You will receive notice by email prior to, or at the time of, this charge.
4.4 Total Fee. The total cost of enrolment is $500.00 CAD per child per weekly session.
4.5 Currency. All fees are stated and charged in Canadian dollars (CAD).
4.6 Capacity. Each session is limited to 20 participants per location. There is no waitlist. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
4.7 Additional Fees. The following optional fees apply:
Early Drop-Off (7:30 a.m.): $50.00 CAD per child per week
Late Pick-Up (5:30 p.m.): $50.00 CAD per child per week
These fees are payable in advance of the session or as otherwise directed by Rize Camp.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1 Cancellations by Parent or Guardian.
If you need to cancel your child's enrolment, you must notify Rize Camp in writing by email to info@rizecamp.com. The date of cancellation is the date on which Rize Camp receives your written notice. The following refund schedule applies to the $450.00 balance (not the $50.00 deposit):
Notice Period Before Session Start | Refund of Balance
14 or more days before session start | Full refund of $450.00
7 to 13 days before session start | 50% refund ($225.00)
Less than 7 days before session start | No refund
The $50.00 deposit is non-refundable in all cases of Parent/Guardian-initiated cancellation, regardless of the notice given.
5.2 No Mid-Session Refunds. If a child is withdrawn from camp after a session has begun — for any reason, including illness, injury, family circumstances, or voluntary withdrawal — no partial refund of the session fee will be issued.
5.3 Removal for Code of Conduct Violations. If a child is removed from camp due to a violation of the Code of Conduct (see Section 6), no refund of any amount paid will be issued.
5.4 Cancellation by Rize Camp. Rize Camp reserves the right to cancel any session in its entirety due to circumstances including but not limited to insufficient enrolment, extreme weather, public health advisories, venue closure, or events beyond its reasonable control. If Rize Camp cancels a session, you will be entitled to a full refund of all amounts paid, including the $50.00 deposit. This is the exclusive remedy in the event of a Rize Camp-initiated cancellation.
5.5 Rize Camp Discretion. Rize Camp may, in its sole discretion, offer credits, transfers to another session, or exceptions to this policy in individual circumstances, but is not obligated to do so.
6. Code of Conduct
Rize Camp is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants, staff, and volunteers. By enrolling your child, you agree that your child will:
Treat fellow campers, staff, and volunteers with courtesy and respect at all times;
Follow all instructions given by Rize Camp staff;
Refrain from bullying, harassment, intimidation, or physical aggression in any form;
Refrain from bringing weapons, dangerous items, alcohol, drugs, or any prohibited substances to camp;
Respect camp property, facilities, and equipment;
Not leave the designated camp area without staff authorization; and
Conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the safety and well-being of all participants.
Rize Camp staff have full discretion to address behavioural concerns through verbal warnings, activity restrictions, or by contacting a Parent/Guardian. Rize Camp reserves the right to remove any child from camp immediately and permanently for serious or repeated violations of this Code of Conduct, or for conduct that poses a risk to the safety of others. In such cases, no refund of any fees paid will be issued, and the Parent/Guardian will be required to collect the child promptly.
Parents and guardians are expected to cooperate fully with Rize Camp staff when conduct issues arise.
7. Health and Medical
7.1 Disclosure of Medical Information. You are required to disclose, prior to the first day of the enrolled session, all relevant medical conditions, allergies, dietary restrictions, and medications for your child. This information must be accurate, complete, and current. You agree to update Rize Camp promptly if any relevant health information changes before or during the session.
7.2 Medications. If your child requires medication during camp hours, you must provide written instructions to Rize Camp staff, including dosage and timing. Medications must be provided in clearly labelled original containers. Rize Camp staff will make reasonable efforts to administer medications as instructed but are not licensed medical professionals. You acknowledge this limitation and assume responsibility for your child's medication management to the extent it falls outside Rize Camp's reasonable capacity.
7.3 Emergency Medical Authorization. In the event of a medical emergency, you authorize Rize Camp staff to: (a) call 911 and emergency services; (b) administer basic first aid; (c) arrange for emergency medical transportation; and (d) consent to emergency medical treatment on your behalf if you cannot be reached and delay would endanger the child. Rize Camp will make every reasonable effort to contact you as quickly as possible in any emergency.
7.4 Health Statement. A completed and current health statement form must be submitted to Rize Camp prior to the start of the enrolled session. Rize Camp may refuse participation by any child for whom an adequate health statement has not been received.
7.5 Illness at Camp. If a child becomes ill during the camp day, a Parent/Guardian will be contacted and required to collect the child promptly. Rize Camp is not equipped to provide extended care for unwell children.
7.6 Communicable Illness. Rize Camp reserves the right to exclude a child from participation if the child displays symptoms of a communicable illness, in the interest of protecting other participants and staff.
8. Photography and Media
Rize Camp may photograph and/or video record participants during camp activities for use in marketing, promotional materials, social media, the Rize Camp website, and other business purposes.
By enrolling your child, you grant Rize Camp a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use photographs and video footage of your child for these purposes, unless you opt out in writing before the first day of the enrolled session.
If you do not wish your child to be photographed or filmed, you must notify Rize Camp in writing by email to info@rizecamp.com prior to the start of the session. Rize Camp will make reasonable efforts to ensure that opted-out children are not featured in media. However, Rize Camp is not liable for incidental appearances of opted-out children in group photos or video taken during camp activities.
Rize Camp will not sell photographs or video of children to third parties for commercial purposes unrelated to Rize Camp programming.
9. Child Safety and Supervision
The safety of all campers is Rize Camp's highest priority. All camp staff are screened and trained in accordance with applicable child safety standards.
9.1 Drop-Off and Pick-Up. Camp operates on a standard schedule of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Early drop-off (7:30 a.m.) and late pick-up (5:30 p.m.) are available for an additional fee as described in Section 4.7. Children will only be released to individuals listed as authorized on the registration form. Rize Camp staff may request government-issued photo identification from anyone collecting a child.
9.2 Custody Orders. If there are any court orders, custody arrangements, or access restrictions that affect who may collect your child, you must provide a copy of the relevant documentation to Rize Camp prior to the start of the session. Rize Camp will endeavour to comply with any documented restrictions but cannot guarantee enforcement in all circumstances and is not liable for actions taken in good faith.
9.3 Unauthorized Departure. If a child leaves the camp area without authorization, Rize Camp will immediately contact the Parent/Guardian and, if necessary, emergency services. Rize Camp is not liable for any harm arising from a child's voluntary and unauthorized departure from the supervised camp area.
10. Assumption of Risk and Waiver
10.1 Inherent Risks. Participation in outdoor and physical camp activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to scrapes, bruises, minor injuries, allergic reactions, insect bites, weather-related discomfort, and other risks associated with physical activity and outdoor environments. By enrolling your child, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
10.2 Waiver and Release. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you, on behalf of yourself and the child, hereby waive and release Rize Camp Inc., its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with the child's participation in Rize Camp programming, including without limitation any claims arising from negligence of the Released Parties, except for claims arising from gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
10.3 Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, costs, damages, or liabilities arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your child's conduct at camp; or (c) any false or materially incomplete information you provided in connection with registration.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Cap on Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of Rize Camp for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your child's participation in Rize Camp programming shall not exceed the total fees actually paid by you for the session giving rise to the claim.
11.2 Exclusion of Consequential Damages. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rize Camp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise, even if Rize Camp has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11.3 Essential Purpose. The limitations of liability set forth in this Section shall apply notwithstanding any failure of essential purpose of any limited remedy.
12. Privacy and Personal Information
Rize Camp collects personal information about you and your child in connection with registration and camp operations. This information is collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at rizecamp.com. By registering, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Rize Camp will not sell or rent personal information to third parties. Personal information will be shared with third parties only where necessary to deliver camp services (e.g., payment processors) or as required by law.
13. Amendments to These Terms
Rize Camp reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted at rizecamp.com with a revised “Last Updated” date. If you have already registered for a session, Rize Camp will notify you by email of any material changes to these Terms. Your continued participation in the session, or your failure to cancel within 14 days of receiving notice of material changes, constitutes your acceptance of the amended Terms.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
14.1 Governing Law. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14.2 Dispute Resolution. In the event of any dispute between you and Rize Camp arising out of or in connection with these Terms, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of written notice, either party may pursue available legal remedies.
14.3 Jurisdiction. You agree that any legal proceedings in connection with these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the Province of Alberta, and you irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of those courts.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with any registration form, health statement, and any other documents incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rize Camp with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings.
15.2 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
15.3 No Waiver. Rize Camp's failure or delay in enforcing any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
15.4 Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without Rize Camp's prior written consent. Rize Camp may assign its rights under these Terms without restriction.
15.5 Language. The parties have agreed that these Terms and all related documents shall be drafted in English.
